Session 20 & 21 Update (Rules For Silent Alif preceding Hamzatul Wasl & Silent Ya preceding Hamzatul Wasl)

 

RULE 7:
If Hamzatul Wasl is preceded by the long vowel Alif Madd, Alif Madd will not be stretched and the letter before it will be recited like a short vowel so it can be connected with the letter after Hamzatul Wasl (considering the sun and moon letters).

RULE 8:
If Hamzatul Wasl is preceded by the long vowel Ya Madd, it will become silent. The letter before Ya will be read like a short vowel and will be connected with the letter after Hamzatul Wasl (considering the sun and moon letters).

Rule 7 & 8 Words: Recite and send. [Wednesday by 6:00 pm]

Quran Assessment Test Friday, Oct 27th & Friday, Nov 3rd 2023

There will be a mandatory Quran assessment for all the students on Friday, Oct 27th, and Friday, Nov 3rd.

This test will help us monitor each student’s progress and revise their learning goals for this semester. The students will be given a “Review Test” on Thursday to guide them and help them familiarize with the format of Friday’s Test.

Please review the following topics with your child(ren) for Friday, Oct 27th:

1. Heavy Letters and their correct Makharij.
2. Heavy & Light ل in Allah and Allahum.
3. Short Vowels (Fatha, Dhammah & Kasrah)
4. Long Vowels (Alif Madd, Wow Madd & Ya Madd).
5. Letters of Qalqalah.
6. Tanween (Fathatain, Dhammatain & Kasratain).

The kids can practice with the Quran and also through the previous homework posted in the group.
